Help my roommate set up his booth at the Fed Hill Jazz, Blues, Wine and Art Festival, then drinking all day at said festival. Anyone in Baltimore care to join us?

Dear Cat, you are adorable, but I am trying to watch porn and you are making it awkward by watching me and demanding I scratch your head.
Should I be called to sit on a jury for a rape trial, I vow publicly to vote not guilty, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the charges are true.

This is not a joke.
This is Sadie. Her eyes look opposite directions and she has no tail, but she’s super sweet.
We LOVE bike riding this time of year! Not only is it a great alternative to running, it’s something fun to do with friends.

…is this what heaven is like?
Call me a pussy, insult me, whatever you want. Fighting is stupid and solves nothing. Every time I see or hear about a huge fight breaking out at a hardcore show, I find myself less and less interested in the scene. And don’t get me wrong and call me “posi” either. Fuck that shit. Punk and hardcore were built on anger and hatred, people now just seem to misplace that anger. There’s plenty to be pissed off about and plenty to act against. Fuck the government, cops, the establishment (as cliche as that is), racism, bigotry, religion, all that. Direct your anger at that, not at your fans, the bands, the dickhead in the pit, other people at shows, “posers,” etc. Stop wasting your hatred on people who think like you.
Every time I see someone say (about a fight at a hardcore show), “hardcore has been dangerous since the 80’s. There have always been fights, it’s what it’s about,” or some bullshit like that I get fucking mad. And they ALWAYS cite Boston Beatdown as proof. Hardcore has always been dangerous if you were a neo-nazi, if you were a racist, if you were picking fights, starting shit and ruining shows. Hardcore WASN’T always dangerous if you were some kid in the pit who accidentally bumped into the wrong person. Hardcore wasn’t always dangerous if you try to sing along with your favorite band and accidentally knock over the singer in the process. I shouldn’t have to go to a show and spend the whole time with the thought in the back of my head that I MIGHT get the shit beaten out of me for making one wrong move. I’m not going to bitch about a bloody/broken nose, black eye, whatthefuckever from the crowd, from stagedivers, from the pit, but I am going to bitch about it when some tough-guy douchebag who’s no different than the Jersey shore dickheads picks a fight.
I’m reblogging this because it’s always relevant.
