So I haven’t really updated all of you guys about my life! SO MUCH HAS CHANGED. I finally left Teavana. Thank god. I’ve got a new job as a Leasing Consultant at a local apartment management company, so my job is to show prospective residents the model apartments, sell them on it and get them to sign leases. I take care of all leasing paperwork and such. It seems like a pretty great job, at least for the time being, and I get 30% off rent if I choose to live there, so I can save a good bit of money after my current lease is up. It’s a full time job, which is awesome. 9-5, five days a week. It’s my first big boy job! Super exciting. I’ve only been there a week, but I really enjoy it so far. It’s a lot to learn, since the company hasn’t made the switch to computers yet (yes, really), so it’s an ass ton of paperwork, but everyone I work with is really friendly and so willing to help. Even though my dad is still helping me out a lot, this is one step closer to finally being financially independent, which is my ultimate goal, obviously.
I’ve also decided that I definitely want to go back to school, I just have to decide if I want to study something I love (literature) or something that would spit me out into a job, like education, business, or whatever else. I really want to further my education in literature and literary theory, but that doesn’t really do much for my financial situation, unfortunately.
Aaaand, sadly, I rehomed my rats yesterday :( Our heating bill last month was $400, and we just can’t afford to do that, so we’re keeping our thermostat at 60, which means it’s balls-freezing cold here and hairless rats just won’t do well in that. Also, I have a full time job now, which means no time to take care of them, and when I move in a few months, I can’t take them with me. Their new owners are super excited and responsible, so it seems like the rats will be happy there, but I still miss them terribly. BUT once I move, I can finally get a cat, so I will do that and I’m really excited about it.
So yeah, now that I’m done rambling about my life/things nobody cares about, how are YOU all doing?
