Eschew Obfuscation.
A word about opinions.

In the last six months or so, I’ve set a lot of goals for myself with the ultimate aim of improving who I am for no other reason than to alleviate some of the self-loathing. One of the biggest (and most difficult) goals I set was to only give my opinions where they’re asked for, because honestly, that’s the only time anyone cares, and even then it’s not guaranteed. I think it goes without saying that by following my Tumblr/being my friend on facebook, you are, in a way, asking for my opinion. If not actively asking for it, passively accepting that you will be exposed to it. It should also go without saying that by posting my opinion on a public forum such as Tumblr/Facebook, I am welcoming input and opinions from others, however when you share your opinion with no intent other than starting a fight, I’m not going to indulge you and I’m not going to get involved. Even though I welcome opinions that conflict mine, I do ask that you at least make some attempt to fully understand what my opinion is before you become hostile. Most of the time, that can solve the entire problem.
